Well, I never thought that I would have a blog, but here I am writing my first blog post.
I am currently laying in the hotel room in Harrisonburg, VA listening to Wake Up O Sleeper by Hallal Music and wondering what I will get into tomorrow. Layne, the minister at Central, and I discussed visiting some of the shut-ins tomorrow. I am looking forward to interacting with the people who I have not met yet and trying to be an encouragement and help to this congregation.
So the last sermon that I preached was a different take on one that I did in McKenzie. It was titled This Not That. We looked at Luke 6:27-38 as 3 parallel lists.
Today I wrote the lessons that I am going to present to the people here next Sunday. It will be a day of attacks. Not me attacking them, but in class “Attacks on Baptism” then “Attacks on Evangelism” and ending the Lord’s day with “Attacks on the Bible.”
Well I think that is enough for the first blog post. If you are reading this, thanks for visiting. I don’t know why you would put yourself through the painful writing style I use, but I appreciate it. I will probably post some of the audio sermons that I have done along with maybe an outline or two if I feel up to it.
